2006 Civic Si to be due in October
Well, it's not exactly new news... But I believe this is an official Honda Canada site and they are announcing the 2006 Civic Si to be due in October.

Brembo - no

Yeah, w/ the Civic moving upmarket and the Si being the top of the line, $21xxx sounds good more or less, probably a little more though because the dollar is weak and they want to make a little more profit...

I agree. The motor and transmission seems very much like the RSX-S's. Assuming that it's using a K20 engine, my guess it that it uses the same cams as the 2002-2003 RSX-S. Or at least pretty close. Same goes for the tranny. Hopefully using the 2005+ RSX-S tranny. Lots of issues fixed and better gear ratio.

The official link clearly states that 4-piston Brembo brakes will be available on the civic. Please check the link out ...

it also said 8000rpm redline, so i'm guess its a k20a2 or the k20z1 variant. There was a rumoring about putting in a 2.4L, but i guess there sticking with the 2.0L. Its a very nice car, but i dont wanna trade in a civic to get another civic.

yeah if i were you i would hold out till the 06 sedan comes out and just test both. I saw the sedan renderings on TOV, and i was pretty impress by them. Why not get a mazda 3? i thought the economy on that car was pretty decent. I like the fact you can get hids from the factory too. I'm just not a fan of the styling.
When I traded in my 01 civic coupe, I wanted the Mazda 3, but the dealership wasn't giving me as good of a deal as Honda was for my civic for obvious reasons. I got the civic for alot cheaper...besides, it's a car I rarely drive...I usually take the 8 and usually one of my family members use the civic...
I'm just thinking out loud with the trade in on the 06 si...it looks great, but it won't be worth the hole in my pocket.

I did. They even said that they were describing the concept, and that the concept might not be what the 2006 si features. Please check the link out ...
