Question early lease termination help

Im in a bit of a situation. I have 15 months left on my 03 civic lx lease. I want to get out of my lease early.

My info:
Money down : $2000 - $2500
Monthly payment: $193.16
15k Miles per year, current milleage 25K+

Any ideas or suggestions on what I would most likely have to pay? to end my lease early..

also should I try to have some one take over my lease?

I know this would be alot easier If I was to get another Honda...but im planning on getting a GTI. Sorry guys. I still love Hondas, and when it comes time for a family car.. Ill be back

I was in the same situation....

you can either....

1. Have some take over the lease...
2. Sell the vehicle, pay the difference to Honda Finance and keep whatever you make or pay whatever is lost...
3. Return it as is...

If only 15 mos. are left, try to find someone to take it over.

Ok funny you should post this. My wife leased an 02 civic ex before I met her. The sales guy talked her into leasing for 48 months and she wants to get out of her lease now and get a Corolla S. Well we went to a few dealerships to find out how much this is going to cost her or if there is something she can do. She has 15 months left on her lease too. They gave her 3 choices. She can pay the buy back on the car which is $13k and then sell the car and pay the remainder to Honda, Which would be $3750, The car is only worth around $9800. She can keep the car for the last 15 months or come back when there iss less than 6 months on the lease left, or she can trade the car in (Break the Lease), and add the lease amount to the next car she wants. The payment on the Corolla would of been arpound $249 with tax down and then they had to add the $3750 into the payment. Her payment would of been like $365 a month. Now she pays $235. She got ripped off. So we decided not to do it and to wait the 15 months.

I'm in Canada but I can't see it being TOO different.. I wasn't the initial leasee on my car so it was under my moms name as I made all the monthly payments. Basically, if you check out my ride pics you can see everything I had done to may car and it was a lease. This car is also a Veloz issue so it had the stock lip kit, etc, but I ended up selling all the parts and got it back to semi-stock (it'll be returned w/ a different spoiler, rear lip and lowered). I thought for some reason THIS month of May my lease was fully up, only to find out that there's another 12 months. I'm allowed 96kms over 4 years and the car is currently at about 103XXX. My mom was really ill with cancer, to the point where the doctors didn't allow her to drive anymore so my dad called London Honda (where we leased from) and told them the situation. The nice guy at London Honda talked to Honda of Canada and worked it out with my dad to take the car back, as is. So a couple weeks ago when my mom was in critical condition at home, I called Honda to discuss when the car can be returned and everything and they said they need a doctors note stating that she's unable to drive. Later in the week, my mom ended up passing away so now we have to give Honda a Certificate of Death when the car is ready to be returned.

I know this doesn't suggest anything at all as to what you may be able to do with YOUR lease, I'm moreso stating how understanding Honda can tend to be and how good they can be to deal with under some circumstances.

Peas!

Not sure about where you are, but I know we have a local company/dealership here in Toronto that specializes in getting people out of leases (its called www.leasebusters.com). You might look into finding some place similar near you (if one exists).

Re: early lease termination help

My advice is to avoid Swapalease. They are scammers. Honda Finance does not permit straight lease transfers. Swaplaease has a New Lease Program they pitch to those trying to exit a lease with Honda Finance. The program is huge rip off and waste of money. Read this for more details: http://www.ripoffreport.com/reports/...Off0406240.htm

Re: early lease termination help

hmmm, could that be a spamming member bot of some sort? first post being this???

some computer generated thing that searches forums for a certain word (probably 'lease' in this case) and becomes a member, and posts about it, offering up a website

oh yeah, IBTL!
