I don't know if its been posted but the best 7th gen coupe I have ever seen is in SCC. Full type-r conversions from the rims to the brakes. This is how the Type-R should have been, not in that ugly hatch. I really wish that this is how honda made the type r. or at least the Si.

it's not really a type R then. just because he takes his coupe and throw type R stuff doesn't make it a type R conversion. a true type R conversion would be taking an EP hatch and throwing all the type R stuff in it.....
that would be the same thing as throwing a K20 engine into your 7th gen and calling it an "rsx" conversion.

technically you can't post the pictures on the forum until SCC posts them viewable to the public online. otherwise it would be copywright infringement.

It's ironic how the rest of the world loves hatches but the US doesnt. There has to be reasons why there is no Civic coupe in the rest of the world.... probably b/c the coupe of the least practical.
The reason why the Civic Type-R has always been a hatch is b/c of the weight. Now the current type-R does weigh about 26xx lbs, but traditionally, the Civic hatch has always been the lighest and most basic Civic.
Also, they did feature a Civic Type-R clone.... this was a while back though. THey had an EP chassis with a K20A2, then modded it a little bit.

i think the civic coupe you're talking about belongs to a member on here. he drives a championship white em2 with 5 lug, k20a2, a few little diddlies here and there, type r wheels from the integra-r, and...brembos from the teg-r.
damnit what was his name....!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah thats the one. I'm just saying that that is how the Type-R should have come from the factory. Yes Coupes are a little heavier but it states in the article that it is also more rigid and it looks so much better. Also I'm not saying it's an Integra Type-R conversion, I'm just saying type-r in general.

he used stuff from a type R... it was cool looking. It's a 7th gen, either 01-02 or 03. I couldn't clearly see...
I like it... Mad props. I have that issue of SCC.

Well if he is going for a type r look then he should try and make it look more aggressive. If I saw that car I wouldn't look at it twice because it basically looks stock otherthan the rims. The interior is nice and so is the engine so now he needs to move on to the exterior.
