stock S2k vs S2k with 4.57 gears. VIDEO
Here you go. This is from a stoplight roll. I waited for Ryan to floor it before I went. I'd say it started at about 5mph.
I have intake/exhaust (not much gain... I've raced stock S2k's before and never pulled anything).
And then I have 4.57 gears. So this will show you what 4.57 gears do.
The run is from 5mph to 95mph. You will see I pull about 5 cars.
right click, save as. stock S2k vs S2k w/4.57 gears

ACURAwerx, you're absolutely right. I'm not sure what comes stock with the S2000, but 4.57 gears are seriously short. But, your 1/4 mile times would kick a$$, and that's all that matters to most people. e.g.: Who cares if your top speed is 135mph or 165mph?

nice! i love your videos, s2k's sound badass. friday night i was out at the local track, and i rode with my supervisor from work in his srt4 (i know, piece of ****, but fast in a straight line, he autox's it too, and he has had 2 hondas besides that car). his best 1/4 mile run was 12.41 seconds (some mopar **** done to it).
anyways, he raced an older camaro first, pretty much half-tracked him, and then he raced a guy with an s2k, vortech supercharged and i think he said 4.77 gears. needless to say, srt got owned, by about 4 car lengths, and the s2k sounded so awesome. i want one. im done now, bye.

stock S2000 hitting 174mph on a slight decline
by the way. 281kph = 174mph.
281 * .62 conversion rate = 174.

How is the change of ratio affecting your city and highway driving? Are you getting into 5 and 6th a lot more now after the change?

my gas mileage went UP because the gears help bring up your city driving. it brings down your freeway mpg, but I do more city than freeway. I average about 25-26mpg now. On long trips I get about 30mpg.
