Carjacking setup in Houston

Hey guys check this story out: http://abclocal.go.com/ktrk/news/010...arjacking.html.

This is pretty disturbing - a few weeks ago, some girl in Houston convinced some guys with a mod'd up car to give her a ride back to her apt. When they got to her apt, a few of the girl's friends killed the driver and jacked his car. What a horrible set up... what has the world come to??

Check my sig.

Glock 32 and 7 Gold Dots, and 7 Ranger Talons, never know when I may need it.

Carrying a gun is kind of like having a fire extinguisher in your home. Most of the time, it is tottally useless, until you need it. And when you need it, you need it immediately.

Yep. I'm licensed and have been for 2 years. The thing is to practice (I practice on 3" x 5" index cards like the Seals do) and know your gun. It's the best life insurance policy you could invest in.

I prefer the Glock 22 myself, and good call on the Hydra-shoks.......

And yes, it probably would be a better world if noone had guns, but you know what, that isn't EVER going to happen, not in a million lifetimes, and I'll be Go*d Dam*ned if I'm gonna get killed by some little 14 year old with a .22. I will put four holes in that little bastards teeth. You should feel safe if anything, that there are people like me walking around with guns.

I agree. The world would be a better place without guns, but like Antidote11 said, that isn't ever going to happen. It's a screwed up world when criminals can get guns easier than law bidding citizens. Just remember.....guns built this country over 200 years ago. We didn't fight the British with our hands.

True. World would be much better off if guns did not exist. But they do, and I'll be damned when the feces hits the air oscillator that I'm the only one stuck w/o a gun.

Good idea practicing on index cards, BAK, I'm used to 12" paper plates. I have fired the .40 Hydrashocks before, but they don't make them in .357sig. So I went with the Gold Dots, (TX DPS carries them), and the Ranger Talons(Secret Service uses them), and they both shoot .357sig also. Quite a "peppy" round. Feels like a snappy .40. Going back to a 9mm feels like a cap gun on my weak hand. I've only had my CHL for about a year so far.

Forgot one thing.....

If one is going to participate in a gun fight, there is one rule you should follow, you have to bring a gun. If one does not bring a gun to a gun fight, one should not participate in the gun fight.

My uncle is in the Secret Service and he let my brother and I shoot his Sig Saeur P228. After that, he pulled out a Uzi and an MP5. My god, those things have some power. It was funny, I was reaching over to turn the safety off just below the barrel, and it fired like 12 shots in a second because the safety was allready off. Can you say HAIR TRIGGER.

Thats crazy stuff down there guys, up here where I live in Canada, there are only hunters with guns, not many other people have guns that they use for any other purpose other than that, but it still sucks that those things have to happen.

Yeah, Texas is getting hit hard by car jackings. A lot of my friends on ClubSi have been hit by car jackers. One of my closest friends got hit twice in 3 months. Close to $15,000 in damage total.

I myself got my stereo jacked 2 weeks ago in Austin TX. Thankfully it was a clean job and only cost $170 to replace the dash, and $330 to replace the window.

i don't understand, well yeah i do, why ppl have to take what isn't their's to begin with. granted, theives go out and steal cars/parts etc. what i don't understand is why they had to take a life just to do so. hearing about all these car thefts and strippings and now a DEATH? questions whether or not it's even worth it to make my car unique. even at my school right now and in the Houston area, there's a vast amount of tight-looking cars and they have one thing in common: they all have stolen parts.
sorry i just had to vent.
my condolences to the owner/driver of the car and his family

Lisa: The second amendment is just a remanant from revolutionary periods, it has no real meaning today

Homer: You couldnt be more wrong Lisa. If I didn't have this gun the King of England could just come in here and start pushing you around. Do you want that, well do ya.

Damn straight
