I would cry till I was dehydrated if my car ever burnt up like that. I am paranoid now, geat timing. Right before I re-do the amp wiring, and build a false floor, re-wire everything, add gauges, a cap, etc. omg now im freaking paranoid! AHH!

A lot of people know that VW's quality has been going downhill for the last couple of years now, and the guy above just said that his friend's Jetta bust into flames too. Fords and other domestics have a history of bursting into flames (ie: Ford Exploder) thats why people will always mock domestics first. This is a Honda board, not many Hondas burst into flames. VW's quality is heading in the same direction as Ford's down.

That fire is probbaly becuase of aftermarket things? Such as aftermarket turbo upgrades along with BAD or loose oil fittings and things?

Fires don't start themselves!!!

But its still pretty sad to see it go.

The car in the video is modified, and probably insurance and dealer won't even be liable for this accident.

I don't believe any stock VW has this kind of problem when no human error is involved. I don't believe any domestics would have this problem neither except maybe Saturn.
