yea, why did the cars look so slow! if they were racing wouldn't they have caught up to the car in front of them faster? unless that ca r was going really fast..

The ITR doesn't need that much power to beat a SMG M3. First the SMG is pretty much an auto so that sucks up a lot of the M3's power and the M3 weighs about 800 lbs more than the ITR. Also the ITR gears are a lot shorter than the M3s. All it needs is about 250-270 hp to beat that M3. Which is still impressive but not as much as some of you may think.

SMG II is twice as fast with quickest shift time of 80 milliseconds vs. Ferrari's quickest shift time of 150 millisecond
SMG is not an auto, although it has an auto mode.

It sounded like the M3 didn't even down shift and his SMG was in the slowest mode.

it would take alot for an ITR to beat an M3. also, the SMG shifts faster than a regular manual transmission. the M3 was just videotaping...wasn't even trying.

You beat me to the punch. ITR's are sweet, but I'd rather have the E46 M. I would even take your E36 M over the ITR, that is if I had the $.
