hey. im new. recently got my license. i got a 2001 honda civic ex. anyone have any cool things i can do to it to either make it look cool/faster/more gas efficent? thanks

Haha... exactly what I want to say, but I don't like being an *** to the new members because i've only had my 'Vic for a year and a half, and I remember being new. But anyway, I found out quick that you need to learn to search!! Honestly I have hardly any posts because all you need to do is READ. Everything has been covered. it just depends what you wanna do. like body wise or performance or suspension. i found out our cars are very easy to make look awsome and handle well. as for performance go nitrous(like me) turbo, or swap. those are about the only options you have to see any kind of good gains. but people on this forum will usually be willing to help ya out, just remember alteezas are ugly and wings are for airplnes and birds. if you do get one make sure it flows well with the car.

not being an ***, just being realistic.

power mods are useless unless you swap or turbo.

exterior mods, i.e kit, drop rims, etc. will make it look nicer, but its still just a slow civic

the only worthwhile thing to do is upgrade your suspension and autocross your car. Although you'll never win any championships.

jk... welcome to the site... yea mods are pretty useless on these engines... if you want to go fast your best bet is a turbo... if you want to go show... please keep it clean

welcome to the board. things are looking better and better for the civic. new cam shafts are coming out this month. you probably wont have a really fast car, but you can make a very well balanced car that will be lots of fun to drive. work up the suspension and do some light power adding modifications and you will have a fun clean car.
