anyone here use a laser or radar jammer?
I'm considering getting a laser and radar jammer. Just wondering if anyone has any experience with them or has any recommendations?
Blinder MD-20 is the best (laser jammer). It's saved me a couple tickets so far. If you're looking to buy a radar jammer just know that the only ones that work are illegal. You'll have to get creative if you really want one.

^ no...detecters detect the presence of radar waves in the area letting you know there is a device emitting radar
Jammers actually prevent the device from getting an accurtate reading or in some cases any reading at all. The thing to remember about jammers is that there is a breakthrough point (a point at which the laser/radar signal is too strong to be jammed). the jammer is designed to give you time to slow down when you see the cop...clear line of sight is needed with jammers

I am going to get the passport 8500 and their ZX3 laser jammer.
radar is easy enough to pick up (unless they use instant on) considering it has a much shorter effective range, and can be read by detectors from quite some distance away.
the ZX3 laser jammer will jam laser AND hooks into the passport, letting you know you're being hit with laser and that it's actively jamming it. it gives you enough time to slow down before the laser would be too strong for the jammer to stop it.
laser jammers are not illegal in wisconsin.

for clearfication, if you are caught with a jammer in CA or VA, fines are huge and it WILL read that code on the officers gun. it would read out "jammed/error" or whatever it says to let them know their device is/was being tweaked with. and im sure VA is prob the strictest state in the US when it comes to jammers/detectors. radar detectors arent even legal in VA. CA yes, jammers, no.

yeah radar jammers are not legal anywhere in the US. they are regulated by the FCC.
laser/lidar, however, is regulated by the food and drug administration, and they have no laws against jammers. a couple states banned them, which they can do. wisconsin they are legal.
