Is anyone planning to ride along on the Trek 2 Texas to the World Import Challenge in Houston in early March? This is going to be the biggest import event of the year, and I think it would be cool to have a bunch of 7th gen Civics riding with the caravan. I am planning to take a day off work to meet them in Dallas and ride with them to Houston.

According to the schedule, looks like they stay overnight in each city and continue on in the morning.

March 8th, 9th, and 10...in Baytown..which east Houston basically....should kick ***...the first one (last year) got canclled cause of Tropical Storm Allison....sucked ***...but yeah we're gonna have a Texas 7thgenCivic.com Meet there..prolly on the 9th (Sat) and so far JLCivic (houston dude) is the only one entering the show (that i know of)

Yes it is from Dallas to Houston Friday morning @ 7:30 a.m. Everyone I know is already requesting the day off from work We are trying to get all the 2k1 people together to meet with them in Dallas. It should be pretty awesome! I would say keep watching this thread and my website with the meet on it for details as it gets closer. Talk to yall later!

If anyone has check the site lately it looks like we will be meeting at Hillard Auto Park Mazda dealership. 5000 Bryant Irvin Road, Ft. Worth, 76132 (Call 817-370-5000). So for those of you up in the DFW are let try and get there by like 7:30 a.m. if possible. Luckily for me that is only 15 mins. from my house

Hey - everyone who is going to be participating in the Trek 2 Texas: post a reply here and let us know. That way those of us who haven't gone to a 7thgencivic meet yet and haven't met anybody from this board won't be standing around looking really awkward.

I'll start:

My ride
Physical description: 5'10, 150 lbs. Chinese male, short haircut, 24 yrs old

I'll be meeting up with the caravan in Dallas at the Mazda dealership. I was even thinking about making the stop before that (Wichita Falls/Nitrous Express), but that is a hella long drive for me and they would have to give away a free NX kit to get me all the way out there. I've attached a pic of myself - I'm the guy standing on Mike Tirico's right wearing the white ASR shirt. A quick note - this pic was taken under extremely weird lighting conditions at a live taping of NFL 2Night at the George R. Brown Convention Center, but it's the only full body shot I have of myself. So if you see me on Thursday, give me a holler.
