haha, I like the Camaro and riced out Civic hatch comparison.... but a lot of ppl see Honda as a brand not to get mainly b/c of all riced out Civics and Accords.... mesh that in with ppl that cant drive and you have your steriotipcal bad Honda owner.
Haha that Civic VS Camaro comparison wasn't fair.
Who the hell compares all-show VS all-go?
In a show, that Civic (although ugly/ricey) would probably win top 3 while that Camaro takes home nothing.
Civic - still selling strong.
Camaro - DISCONTINUED.

screw em. who gives a sh*t what they think, if they dont like what we drive thats fine, they are entitled 2 their own opinion. i just kinda tune all that crap outta. my buddies give me so much sh*t for driving an automatic honda and modding it. but screw em. i know my car looks better/will last longer there peice of crap *cough cough* hyundai tiburon lol
I don't think its so much the car, as it is the ****-talking stuntaz that idolize them.
As long as the driver knows something about cars, and knows exactly where he stands on the food chain... it doesn't matter what they drive.
The Yugo driver who loves his car and rebuilds it every 2 years to keep it running perfectly gets my respect...... but any ricer in a 16-second car who calls out LS1's needs to be shot.

I blame it mainly on bad driving skills, but completely stock I have beat v6 camaro's....only one guy in a v6 camaro has beat me, and I know for a fact he can drive better than me(he races a v8 s10 at the local drag races).
None of my friends make fun of my car...probably because it's nicer than most of theirs.
My friends cars: 1995 Ford Ranger, 1996 Ford Ranger(4.0, single cab, 5-spd...fast as hell), 1993 Nissan Maxima, 1993 Nissan Altima, 1994 V6 Camaro, 1991 Buick Century, 1994 Ford Thunderbird, 1993 Toyota Camry, 2002 Ford Focus 5-door Wagon, 1997 Toyota Camry, 1987 Z28(which kills my civic
), 2001 Pontiac Grand Am, Late model F-150, and then my bud that is a lot older than the rest of us: 2003 Lingenfelter 427 Corvette.
I'm sure I left someone out, but that's all I can remember right now.

Since they are all car enthusiasts and i cannot spell then lets compare two modified cars:
[edit] I know the Si in that pic has 500+ hp but we want to take not the most extreme but the average of the best few of each car[/edit]

Now a heavily modified example:

That it's entirely B.S... but I figure someone else would spend the hour coming up with the figures and proof.
Domestic sports cars (camaro SS, 'stang GT, etc.) acclerate faster and handle better than any civic produced. Even the V6 models are better for racing (faster, handle better) than a civic, with some notable exceptions.
Someone did an article on this... Civics cost WAY more money in the long run to get up to racing condition and maintain. I looked for it, but to no avail.
You're way better off buying an LS1 car. A civic needs a turbo kit and some suspension mods just to keep up with a stock camaro SS. With that, reliability goes out the window.

The point is.... who deserves more respect:
The mullet head with the LS1 that everyone else in the world has, or the guy with the rare civic (actually fast) that is putting out similiar numbers with less than 1/2 the displacement. I dont car how fast an almost 6 L engine can pull a car. Thats old news, too played out, and an enormous waste. I care about what kind of power poeople are squeezing out of smaller engines when what they due takes FAR more knowledge, experience, and skill. Anyone can change a cam in an LS1 and add nos. Whooptie doo, neon people can even do that. Turboing a car to over 20psi safely without blowing up, that takes skill.

I've seen those. There really are just haters out there... Oh well, those people are expecting different things from Honda.
