Trouble with the dealer.....

Trouble with the dealer.....
I just took in my civic in to the dealer to get my alignment done. It seemed fine, even though it does still seem to drift to the right some and the steering wheel doesnt look centered, which ima take back to check it out. But also, while going drive-thru to burger king, i reached into the little drawer, w/e place where i put the coins in, under the steering wheel, and i noticed that it's 1/4 full. When i brought it in, the cover wouldnt even close how full it was and now it's less than half. I can also see 4 nice dirty finger marks along the bottom of the cover. I mean, i would expect this from a shop on the corner of the street, but not from the actual Honda dealership. I mean, what, next time i have to empty my change......take my CD's out, probably even my spare tire. It really gave a bad impression on me, why would i even want to take it back there again.....
Did this happen to any1 else, or am i just the only guy who didn't think about taking his change out of the car, at least i took my Dell DJ out b4.

Haha omg what a ghetto dealer. I have a feeling they didn't do anything to the car. Kinda like when I took my car to Sam's club for a wheel balance...I had to take it to a REAL shop and pay more to actually get it balanced properly. Not every shop is reputable, that goes for dealers too. This is why I would love to have a camera. I bet the repair guy got some nice candy from the vending machine.
although you crack jokes about corner shops... sometimes independent businesses(small business) are best because they need to work harder to make a name for themselves and please the customers plus often they are part of the community and wouldnt wnat to screw over someone they might know. best bet is take it to a tire/alignment place like ntb or sullivan tire or sumthin or a firestone tire place.
when they make the alignment most measurements are acceptable "within" a range so if the person doesnt have common sense he might put them all Just within that range in such a manor that he barely improves it but it still has a problem. for this reason ur better at a smaller place were they arent as busy so you can ask them to make sure its nice and straight because youve had problems with the dealership.

Lmao, that made me crack up. He got a nice 10 dollars worth of coins or something. From now on i'm taking pictures of my coin drawer thing, I'm doing that 2morrow before i bring it back. It's a huge dealer also....Maroone.

but yea just put pennies in there, but he might get pissed and steal your air freshener or something. Wow I wouldn't be going back there once you resolve this. Just try and get your money back-service wasn't performed to your satisfaction.

Rep Power: 288 i usally just take as much out as possible from my cabin and toss the junk into the trunk. then i lock the trunk and give them my valet key. this was at culver city honda, last time i forgot and left my Polosport sunglasses in the center console area out in the open. when i got my car back, it was still there, they also detailed my car. im beginning to like the dealership. they actually kept their promises about pickup times. brought my car in at 7am. it was packed. by 11pm, i got a call that my car is ready.

Rep Power: 0 lol, that would be hillarious if the guy gets them stuck on his hand, but then, lets say he gets fired or something, he can come to my house or something, since he has my address. My friends car was broken into the day after she got it back from the shop, and when she picked up the car from the shop, there were dirty finger marks all over the glove compartment.
Would they give me the money back? If i do ask for the money, that means that i can't tell them to fix it right? but i'd take it to where my cousin got his alignment. Right now before im going to take it to the dealer, ima use my camera to record everything i have in the car.

I've been lucky so far, but a friend of mine got about 15 bucks stolen when he took his Contour SVT in to our local Ford stealership. And my dad got his jack stolen when he took his Legacy GT into the Subaru stealership.
That's why I like to do a lot of the work myself, and if it's something I can't handle, then I have some friends at a garage (large chain) where I worked part time while going to school. I was the parts guy for the garage, so I know them really well and I trust them.
I think it's good if you can take it in to the same place all the time and can develop a rapport with a technician, then ask for the same guy all the time if you've had good work done by them.

Rep Power: 0 Yea, i used to do everything myself before this, but it was nothing really big. Just oil changes and rotations. But alignments can't be done at home, so i had to take it in. I have a friend who used to work in a shop, so ima ask him where he takes his car.
Edit: Just got home from the dealer, no luck on getting my money back,they said that they dont give money back. The guy told me that they have signs outside that say "Do not leave items in the car" so there's nothing they can do........so does that mean they can steal my radio if they wanted to and there's nothing i can do about it? What about my engine, my seats.......Those are all items in my car. Now, im going to take my car to the dealer everyday till i make sure that my alignment is PERFECT. Then that will be the last time i take it there for maintenance.

hahaha... yeah, I don't trust them sometimes, but I always look for anything important I might leave behind just in case something is missing, I know what it is. Also, I don't keep a lot of change in my change thing.

Rep Power: 0 i brought my car to dealer to get the back seat fixed and when i got it back it had a nice scare on the trunk no big deal it was able to be buffed out got in the car turn on the music no bass???

Rep Power: 812 rofl, at my last dealer they replaced my fuel sender under the back seat and spilled gas all over. It smelled like a gas station when I got in. Then when I pulled off the seat to complain, they said oh its normal for gas to spill out when we replace that part.

That is too good, LOL. What i really want to do is put one of those party poppers inside. The one's where u pull the string and streamers come out
. I wanna tie it so when he opens the door thing, it'll pop and scare the crap out of him. But my friends were telling me that they can take me to court or something for that. But it's his fault, he should'nt be going in there anyway, that has nothing to do with fixing my alignment. what do u guys think? Could i get in trouble for putting that there? no they cant take you to court, they have no right to go in their, just say it was a prank you were going to play on a friend you were picking up later. if u feel nescessary just say oh please dont open the coin drawer.

Rep Power: 330 lol some stealerships really suck. my dealer had my car for nine days when they were replacin my cv boot, and i had a toshiba laptop (3 weeks old at the time) in there, my alpine with faceplate, my xm unit, 2 pairs of polarized bolle's portable dvd player and a bunch of school books in there. when i got it back, everything was there.
