New Headunit Mount
Uhh...some dood at a car show here has his headunit in his rearview mirror. wtf? thats kind of a really wierd place to put it. he also has a huge a$$ screen on the passenger side dash and huge screens in the back. the whole interior is wrapped in gucci leather. whatya' think...kinda wierd in my opinion.
Last time I had this much fun some furniture got broken!

i hate to offend more people but between the useless car and gucci crap and stupid huge screens;
this is why i feel rap is musical pollution on the world. seriously there isnt one thing i can say good about the car other than its a ghetto POS.

About rap I used to hate it now I love it (rap + hip hip). So much more variety and beats vs rock imho. I can differentiate between a song and reality, sad that too many can't though.

Rep Power: 0 first of all i think the location of the headunit is very creative and i give props to whoever owns that car for trying to sway away from the ordinary din location...if you want gucci or levi's fabric on your seats then more power to you...im sure a lot of you in this forum would probably stray away from this because it doesnt "enhance" the performance of your civic
...but what i dont understand is why all the haters have come out and started hatin on rap musicin this thread...i dont know if its cuz you guys start hatin on sumtin that you dont understand/dont like/or just jealous of...even though its tough for some of you guys to swallow, hip-hop is probably one of the biggest cultural influences ever just like rock was in the 50's and 60's...nowadays you see soccer mom's driving around in suv's with 24in rims and i know a lot of you have probably sported some retro nike's or addidas that has made a comeback...fact is hip-hop has taken on many faces ever since its grandmaster flash and afrika bambaata roots and is not just bling-bling, from run-dmc & aerosmith, to the neptunes, to kanye west, to the recent collab with jay-z and linkin park, hip-hop has always been affiliated with rock and will always will be...i know theres a lot of rap-crap out there just like there is a lot of rock crap (ashley simpson hah) but hip-hop and music in general is a great way of self-expression...hip-hop is the evolution of jazz, rock, and funk music...and for all of you that say rap doesnt take skill, go tell that to dr.dre and just blaze...go tell that to the great producers of hip-hop...sure it takes skill to write a guitar piece...but if you think its so easy then let me see you compose a set of beats that flow good with the lyrics and will catch people's attention...let me see you freestyle against eminem or jin...thats the cool thing about producers like dr.dre, kanye west, and the neptunes, they keep it all original and fresh and great lyricists(spelling?) such as eminem, nas, talib kweli, wyclef jean all stray away from your every day money, cash, hoes

as for the car, i think the headunit in the rear view mirror is cool. i like the creative aspect in car audio, seeing all the new things people are able to do in installation.
i dont care for monitors however, i hate seeing them all over the place in a car audio install, show car or not, monitors are getting out of hand.

Rep Power: 321 i have to disagree with most of the people on the rap thing. i love rap... well most rap... lets say that i like rap that has lyrics worth listening to... MC's like Nas, Jay-Z, KRS 1, Common, Mobb Deep, have things worth listening to.

anyone can rap, its a simple talent with no skill/technique involved. basic rule is knowing how to rhyme and if your lyrics are worthy. unlike rock, pop, r&b, etc... vocals are important and harder to achieve.
i like hip-hop music, some rap if it matters.
but that headunit display is pointless, but it IS a show vehicle im assuming. its something new, but ill bet it'll get played out after 3 other ppl do it.
