Under car neon light kit
Under car neon light kit
I'm thinking of getting the neon light kit for under my car. I know it doesn't look good on cars unless it got body kits and stuff but my gf likes it. So I'm wondering if these lights under the car are illegal? And if i get it what colour would look best on a black car? I read how a lot of people had them and the tubes shatter and break easily. So i'll probaby get the led ones since they last longer.
i have a LED kit and i like that i havent had any problems with mine execpt my front tube cracked when i went into a driveway but other then that i like the LED cuase u can have patterns and it looks sicks.
i would suggest white, green, red, or blue,
and with being illegal i dont know i think red and blue u might have more of a problem if u get a kit that can flash cause of flashing red and blue lights are illegal in most state i believe.

I know here it's illegal if the tubes themselves are visiable, and blue is highly illegal and dude don't take this the wrong way but don't do it because your girl likes it do what you like it's your car and you have to drive it. and your right without some kind of body kit or lip kit it doesn't look right

Most states made underglow illegal for all colors. Some doesn't matter much. I had streetglow gold series neons and they were very bright but the tubes broke a few months later. Leds are too dim and don't give that glow effect, but they are harder to break. So I don't know.
Fair warnings..
1- It is always illegal to be driving with them on. Yes, the law states "legal if bulb is not visible directly," but most cops will write you a ticket anyway. It's ok if you're parked... won't get a ticket for just sitting in the parking lot with it on.
2- It is considered by many to be "ricey." To each his own.
3- Blubs break easily. Lots of rocks, etc. getting kicked up under the car.
If you're going to do it, it's best as part of a theme. Most better-looking showcars pick a primary color and a secondary color, and match everything to that. Blue is good with black, as well as yellow.

I had blue under my car, cracked the front good. They really do look nice, just used discretion when you have them on, and be very careful when going into a driveway, and even over speed bumps.
LED's take less power from the battery, but they aren't as bright (and are more expensive).
I had blue under my silver car and it looked clean. If they are installed properly you can't see them at all. Blue, White, Green, Blue, they should all look good under a black car.

if your gonna put them on b/c ur g/f wants you too then you need a new g/f...you'll have plenty of time to find a new one. now if she wants you to throw in a k20a or a turbo...then shes a keeper. if you do get an underglow kit (which i highly advise you not to) get white or blue. but whatever you do, do it w/ class...if that is possible.
Anything matches with black definetely go with the led kit i got my led kit on ebay for 50 bucks with free shipping heres the link you guys should also hit me up with some rep check out his other items for more colors i have bought three kits already and i am completely satisfied http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...764441797&rd=1

i got alot of compliments when I had mine, but I don't think I would get em again. It's too much like fast and furious. I guess for shows in would be cool.
