I don't think it will work but if your upgrading why not go with a D17 ecu or a hondata ecu

if your gonna swap a d17 then you'll need a d17 ecu also because hondata does not make one for us.

It may not be listed yet but there is one from hondata for the D17 right now. One of the other cars at the shop that was being boosted had one being installed. I may be wrong thought I did not glance at the engine to see exactly what it was.

Just curious.... Why ?

I understand the benefits of swapping... but if you're going to go through the effort of rewiring, pulling the engine, and all that... Why not stick in a 160+ HP motor instead of another 120 HP encono-motor ?

If it were me... I'd stick a b18c5 in there, and just call it a day. Don't really need to modify the motor farther than that.

Is it that you got a free d17 or something?

Could be a cost thing, I mean, a B18 can be around 2-3k more than a D17.

I don't think there even is a D17Y engine?
If you are really strapped for cash, at least strap a D16 in there instead of a D17, theres a lot more mods out there for the D16 vs the 17. If you can though, go B series.

No a d15 is OBD 0 or OBD 1 Depending on year the D17 is OBD 2B. Totally different. A popular thing to do these days is to swap the D17 Crank, and rods into a different D motor with d16 pistons. This makes a 1.7L with high compression. If I were you could do GX Pistons that have a 12.5:1 compression raito. That would make your single cam more comparable with Dual cams. Here is a link to a site to calculate any issues.
