Its so hard to comprehend how those things can even stay together for 1 run. I know they are torn apart and rebuilt after every run, but the fact that they dont blow up upon fireup is insane. Making over 1500hp at idle (or so ive read) is mind boggling..

Rep Power: 0 Thats my style. I love big V8 power(don't get me wrong I love my civic too). No one has mentioned that it is 1000 hp per cylinder, and the biggest number of all is hp to c.i.d., is 16 hp per single cubic inch., that is like having a 480 hp briggs(5hp case=30ci)gokart motor. Most of you do know that there is no real way to test that kind of hp there is not a dyno in the world that can measure top fuel engine hp they just kinda guess!! Btw that is not a cheap fram its the hp or racing series good for high pressure/flow and good down to 10 micron like a k&n.

ever see those run in real life? I saw them race, Clay Millican actually and when he went by at the 100 ft mark he was already going like 150 mph+ and the car was so loud it actually vibrates your eyeballs and stuff goes blurry. Things seem to go in slomo cause they buzz by soooo fast. I had ear plugs in and I still covered my ears, it was the sickest thing EVAR!! Now I am addicted to NHRA on tv and I can't wait to see them this summer!
