Death of a Type R
This 1998 Integra Type R was traded in to my dealership exactly 1 year ago this month. The guy who traded it in never modified it, except for clearing the front corner lights and tinting the windows. The catch.... it had 125,000 miles on it. This car was once in immaculate condition, I mean perfect. Showroom new. One thing he didn't tell us was that he had a $10,000 lien against the car with a shady loan company. And so the car sat for the past year... it was never moved or started. About 2 months ago, some robbers cut a hole in the lock-up's fence and stole the wheels off it. They propped one side with a cinderblock and dropped the other side on the ground, shattering the front lip, cracking the front bumper and bending/damaging the fender and brake rotors. And so it will continue to sit... There is no title and the car cannot be sold. Unless someone wants to pay the $25,000 to pay off both the lien as well as buy the car, it will decay into eternity.

I've seen one just like it around here, totally treated like any old car, dirty and stock with some dents and paint damage. Some people just don't care.

no we did... this was not a legit-operating loan company... however the guy did sign a contract saying he borrowed the money using the car as collateral, so their claim is real... even though it is a shady loan-shark.

You know it'd be a shame if someone were to somehow 'steal' the rest of the car on a flatbed truck by 'somehow' opening to gate to the lot with the keys you 'somehow' lost earlier that day eh?

hmmm.....if it was going to sit there, they should have put a car cover over it. Then maybe the thieves wouldn't have taken the wheels and it would be in great condition. And when you guys were unhappy, you guys could just take off the cover and admire the greatness.

I don't know how can anyone just let that Type-R waste away like that. If I was you I would begin to steal some parts off of that car since no one is gonna be using it then just claim that robbers took the parts.
