EP3's have LSD?
I was reading a magazine about the new Si coming out, and it was saying all the spec's and then it started to compaire it to the Si's out right now. I have a 04 Civic Si. Well i said that we have a open differential? Is that a LSD? (i dont know im sorry lol). Cause I had my car on a jack and BOTH wheels were spining.. that usualy means I have one right? Thanks
I just didnt know if our car has one or not.

you tire starts to spin, all power is transffered to that tire, making it spin more and have yet less grip while your other tire jsut kind rolls along.

IF one tire looses traction, an LSD will transfer most of the torque to the tire that is not spining. An open differential will send it to the tire that IS spining, thus LSD>>open differential

The differential is a device that splits the engine torque two ways, allowing each output to spin at a different speed.
For the open differential, when a car is driving straight down the road, both drive wheels are spinning at the same speed. When a car makes a turn, the wheels must spin at different speeds.
The open differential always applies the same amount of torque to each wheel.
Limited slip differentials use various mechanisms to allow normal differential action when going around turns. When a wheel slips, they allow more torque to be transferred to the non-slipping wheel.
