a friend of mine let me drive his evo last night. man that car is fast. he has full turbo exhaust, test pipe, cam gears, hks 272 intake and exhaust cams, reflashed ecu, turbo manifold and about 6 hours of dyno tuning. i hate to say it but when i drove that car and he told me to punch it it scared the **** out of me. that car has some serious pull. its an amazing car. anyone else drove one or what are some opinions of the car?

Rep Power: 302 I had an Evo8 before my tC... That thing is such a rocket, and it turns and brakes just as hard. You gotta have a lot of ***** to find the limits of that thing...

Rep Power: 0 also it seems that the evo is a hard car to maintain. you have to be able to fight the urge of driving it hard all the time or you will end up paying lots of money to fix it.

The tires on the STI cost about the same...but thing is you can buy better tires for less.
For sure I don't think anyone wants to drop some money for the same sh!tty Firestone tires when cheaper and better tires are available.

Rep Power: 0 Not trying to tread jack but find this intresting since I own an 03 Evo. IT is a beast and they can get away from you if you think you're a professional WRC driver. I accually sold my 02 EX to buy one. I love it. I'm still learning the capabilites but don't think I'll ever get brave enough to push it all the way. I have had it above 150mph once. 70 is so slow afterwards. LOL If you have been in one or a STi... Find a friend toi take you out. They're such a blast!!!

Yes the Evo is an amazing rocketship, but there is something about STi's that appeal to me more than an Evo...

Evo8
My bro has an 04 evo 8 blue by you. that car is intense. anyone that says there just plain alrite has not drivin one. what else has that capability for under 50 grand. STI and EVO are crazy cars. Evo tho is a much better car to mod heavily. the 4G63 engine has been around for more then 15 years. Another thing which other engine comes out with 19psi from the factory. STI only runs 1 bar. 19 psi from factory come on thats insane. if u have the 30k to get it brand new then i say get it. you will not be sorry u got it. once 3000 rpm hits ur hooked on boost.
