ok ill explain it very simply, engine with 400hp would rather turn just the tranny axles and 2 wheels if you add a drive shaft another differential and two more wheels the engine is kind of being robbed of the power so put a 300whp front wheel drive car for example: civic and a 400whp gsx chances are that the civic will hang with the gsx on the highway.
awd is fast from a standstill, but after a certain point it slows down a lot.. i used to have a subaru legacy AWD and when i would race my friends fwd cars i would take them off the line really well but after about 70 they would just fly past me and there was nothing i could do.

FWD GS-T vs AWD GSX from a freeway roll, both stock, with the same horsepower, the FWD GS-T will pull.
AWD has greater power loss from the engine to the wheels than a FWD car.
also, in general, an AWD car that can run say a 14.0 in the 1/4 mile, will run more like a 14.5 car on the freeway from a roll.

ok i did it i bought the turbo kit for my civic and i bought a 1995 mitsu gsx off cars.com its silver and hot. now i have enough money to swap the motor in the gsx but i was just wondering should i just go that route alot of people says its a way better motor but the 7 bolt motor i have makes 210 v.s. 190 it the 6 bolt so if i stay with the 7 bolt how much work would i have to put in it. and also no matter if i swap or not i want to build the motor inside and out.
