Idiot car thieves suck

It takes me 2 minutes to break into my car without even a hint of damage. These guy(s) try three, four, ? different ways and don't get in. Put screw driver in lock, pry on door handle, jamb screwdriver between glass and door and pry. Nope, nope and nope. Can you say Idiiiot, gawsh. And I have a $500 deductible. I tried to staighten it out, but still has scratches, chipped paint, waves, and the weather stripping doesn't quite seal the glass. At least break a window , so I don't have all this body damage. They would have got in to find out my radio isn't worth stealing and they can't start my car anyway.

it could backfire on you. unless they came at you with the screwdriver or something, you would be charged with assault. then the guy that tried to break into yur car could sue for any medical damages......yeah.....i would wanna beat the **** out of them too, but i would just call the cops and knock the guy on the ground and put yur knee to the back of his neck and wait till the cops got there.

I would kill them and tie them to their car with a pole on the gas and drive them over a cliff and say I never saw the guy that did the damage to my car to get insurance to cut me a check

I would do that too. If someone wants it that bad, die with it! Two problems gone at once. You'll get a new car and you'll get rid of an idiot.

Heh lets put it this way if a thief were to break into your home, and trip and fall, injuring himself he could technically sue your ***. Sucks I know. My advice would be to not get involved, and leave it to the authorities.

in texas, if it appened on your property at night and you caught them, as long as they are still on your property. (commiting crimanal mischef) you CAN kill them, you proply wont be charged criminally, but you might face civil charges. happy hunting!

Beat the **** from them, to the point of unconsciousness, then plant a weapon. Seriously, theres countless cops who carry 'throwaway' guns, that they've taken from drug dealers etc. w. no serial numbers, so if they get into a less than savoury gun fight they can just toss an untracable gun onto the guy's corpse and claim he had a weapon.

In California you may use reasonable force to detain a suspect for a private persons arrest. This means that you can tackle or use any other similar means to detain them. However if they swing at you or make any threatening geastures towards you that changes things. You can then eliminate the threat if you have a genuine fear for your life. Just remember courts are all about interpretation of the law.

I always thought of that...I think I'd just walk up and be like "What the f*ck are you doing??"...and then take a pic if I could so that I could identify who it was....then I'd let them do whatever the hell they wanted and just collect insurance...

ever watch american history x where edward norton kills a guy for trying to steal his car. He got three of em and one by putting his teeth onto the sidwalk and crushing it with his knees. He went to jail, but not that long. That was a crime.
If I ever caught someone, I would call the cops and watch the guy or either try to get the guy, but first I will talk to the officer on the phone.

Where do you get your info from?
They can't sue you if that happens. Look it up.

They cant sue if they are somewhere they are not supposed to be, i.e. your house. But, lets say a guy runs into a convenience store intending to rob it. The store clerk has just mopped the floor but has failed to place "wet floor" signs on it as a caution. The would-be robber slips and hurts his back. The robber *CAN* sue the convenience store for failing to put the caution signs. Its kinda like it doesnt matter who it was, the clerk was still in the wrong. But, no one can sue you if they hurt themselves by breaking into your house. One thing I always wondered though, I live in a pretty nice neighborhood and people like to have nice yards. The highschool kids like to "trench" the yards (drives throught the grass spinning tires and ripping the grass out of the yard). What if you were to put some type of thing in the grass like a automatic sprinkler system that has a sharpened tip to puncture tires. Would that be legal?? I hate trenchers

damn man that sucks, sorry to hear about the break in. when they broke into my car they used the porcelin(sp?) part of a spark plug to silently spider web the window - then they just bent the window down a bit and unlocked the door. bastards!

heh, i feel your pain man. i recently got my car keyed by an unknown person. I typically know right away if i make an enemy, to give me an idea of who might have done it.. but honestly i think someone saw the nice blue paint job and that was enough for them to **** it up. never caught the person that did it (2:30 in the morning) but if i would have been awake, i would have used my H&K USPc to detain any would-be car thief, put them away for a nice long time.
