Funding?

Hey guys (et gals), I'm just wondering... how are you guys in terms of financial support for your cars? I mean, certain parts cost a fortune, and I'm just curious. *shrug* Just wondering.

Well,

Basically, I have a goal on what I want to do next for my car. Save and have patience.

I'm young and still going to school with a part-time job, (I pay no rent) so basically I buy things when I feel like it. Gotta have fun while we are still young. So my savings are not that good but hey, I'm happy.

I got a ton of cash from my accident. Totally the other guys fault. That's what I'm riding on so far. That and a little money that I earn working on odd little jobs. Not much to go on till I get a job.

Sounds like none of you have car payments...I have to pay $500 a month for my car $170 a month for insurance...and the rest goes to food...and gas...and whatever else I buy.

Hey,

Well I pay close to $400.00 a month for the payment/ins. Gas is taken car of with my annual speed pass thing. Food is cool because I have alot of relatives and family, and I just freeload off them when I can. Its the taking my g/f out to eat thats killing me.

I also have my cell phone (about $35.00 per month) and my credit card payment ( $50 - 100.00 per month)

For the last 7 months I have been making close to $700-1000.00 per month.

But starting in February, my hours are going to hit at work as I am going to devote alot of time into school. So either I have to find a new job which works around my schedule or the modding will have to take a hit.

You could always use your vic as a taxi, or you could walk the streets at night. Better yet, become a pimp and have some bizniches walk the streets and get paid for doing nothing.

Hell, I'm 20, make $1150 every 2 weeks, pay $600/rent, $345/car, $216/insurance, $250/other bills $everything else/girlfriend.

I have about $50 left after each paycheck.. I wish I could just get a sponsor or something.. I been thinking about getting a second job just so that I could mod the car..

Come to think about it, here's how all the people in town I know pay for stuff:

1. Rich parents, live off them completely and get a job just for your car
2. Sell drugs

How nice...

I see this one sweet car always making a run up to Islamorada every few days.. wonder what he's going for...

Heh, thanks for the responses guys. Its just that I just landed a small job, and I'm still in school, so I've always been wondering about how you people afford such mods.

But, seems to me that you guys work really hard for your rides, and your lifestyle, so yeah... great stuff.

...maybe I should make the best of living w/out rent/food money...

I bring in about $350 a month (16 hrs a week) and my car payments are $180 a month. I don't pay for ins/rent/food cuz i am still in school. So that leaves me with about $170 a month for spending money which i try to keep a lot of for mods. So far I have bought intake and mp3 player and have had my car a little over 2 months
