How long?

Ok, for those that knew very little and touched cars very little(like DYI stuff) how long did it take you to clear your headlights? I searched, but need more answers...I'm giving myself about 4-5 hours, and that includes drying time...

Also, should I get clear silicone or use that black stuff that is on the headlights?

if your good it might take 1 1/2 hrs maybe 2. use clear silicone because it squeezes out when you put the clips back on. youll be able to see it when you pop your hood.

Yeah, ideally it should only take a couple of hours.........but I know of people who spent 5-6 hours doing this. Label your bolts & screws

Good luck!

Hey,

Well it took me and 2 other people do it in about 1 1/2 hour.

We had some experience clearing headlights, so it went rather smoothly.

Just be careful, and DO NOT try to rush. Especially with the silcone. Use some disposable gloves to avoid finger prints and stuff like that.

It took me a couple of hours. I don't see what the big deal is. I thought it was pretty easy. I think the hardest part was getting the dang bumper off! Hehe but i had help with that!....I was all worried about doing it to but really its not that big of a deal. Just take your time and be careful

I have seen it mentioned a few times that the Sedans take longer to do...why is that?

Hmm, I don't know why because I havn't cleared mine yet, but I've heard from various members that it takes longer for the sedans.
