Vue is Vtec powered.
i heard of this on car and driver TV and was like wtf? so i went to the website and yes. The Vue is powered by a 3.5 Vtec engine. In the review it dosen't say Vtec but it is. They said it on the TV show. But they have no honda emblems or anything anywhere under the hood.

huh? u sure about that?
I know they make the Vue...it's the K24 I believe. That's been known for over a year but I'm not sure when it actually came out.

Rep Power: 347 Old news. They replaced the old Vue V6 with a Honda built motor a while back. The rest is GM, which is cool if you want a small SUV with a Honda motor, but it comes with Saturn quirkyness and GM quality.

Rep Power: 320 Yes the it is old news GM and Honda made a deal where Honda would provide GM with engines for the Vue and GM will provided Honda with disel engines for their cars in Europe.
How easily facts get skewed into rumors.
The engine, like said above, is the 3.5L V6 found in the Pilot, Odyssey, and MDX (obviously all with different power ratings).
The deal was that Honda would provide the engine for the Vue, and GM would assist Honda in developing a truck (ie. the new Ridgeline).
The deal never had anything to do with GM supplying diesel engines to Honda for their overseas vehicles (since those very diesel engines are all Honda designs), or any other rumour stated above.

I thought they were ONLY putting them in the Red Line Vue's...
I didnt realize all v6 Vue's had the Honda engine, it seems this is so after checking their website. Possibly they only had the 3.5 in the RED Line for `04 and all v6's for `05?
I feel more saddened than I did before about this...

Only the Vue Redline gets the Honda 3.5L V6. All other Vues and Ions still use their regualr GM engine.
