Does anybody know how much it costs to get your factory seats done up with the factory honda leather? And like how long it takes and everythin?

lol....i can deal with that...and its not that bad...at least i dont think it is. My girlfrends mom has leather and its not that bad. To me anyways. So does anyone know like around how much it may cost?

Yes they do. They sell katzkins or whatever it is. It's expensive to go through honda... find an accessories store around where you live, they'd probably do it for around 900-1000 dollars installed.

from honda it would run you about 1500. you can take it to a local upolstery shop and it should run about 200 per seat and should take them no longer then 2-3 days.

the dealer where i bought my civic had a hybrid civic with leather, very nice, the leather was a perfect fit with no loose spots, looked like they were factory even tho it was done by their shop. cost between $1500-2000.

Civics don't come with leather seats from the factory.

They are reupholstered (sp) by Katzkin, Classic Soft Trim, or whatever other shop the dealership might have a contract through.

Your best bet is to look on eBay because sometimes a rep from CST sells unsold/returned/etc. leather kits for our Civics for less than $250 shipped.
Mind you this is without installation, which can run another hundred or two or even three.

If not, then call up some local shops who may do it for you for maybe around $600-$700.

Partial leather / vinyl will run cheaper also.

Civics in the USA are considered economy car. Thus there is no factory leather option offered. However, in many Asian countries, the Civic is considered a midlevel car (as an Accord in the U.S.). Thus there is a leather option offered in those countries.

check out leatherseats.com, they sell leather and its cheap, you just have to do it yourself (i did mine, it was a pain in the ***, but i did it).

they say that aftermarket leather upholstry is better than factory leather. they do a better job and they triple and cross stitch. Much better and its a lot cheaper..

Yeah go find an car upholstery shop, thats got some old guy sitting in there with a sewing machine and I bet you'll get the best job you've ever seen done on a pair of seats. hehe

The only Civic I would want leather in is the 99-00 SI. Those cars are extremely rare.

the reason why its so cheap everyone, is because its pleather.......its all vinyl....having worked at a trim shop for 2 years we installed a ton of katzkin kits and about 75% of them were pleather

i got katzkins leather at the dealer when i bought my vic.. the leather is very nice but be careful... check the install... i had to make em re do it.... it turns out they want to spend as little leather as they can so the door leather was poorly cut so it was coming out ... but after they did it again it was perfect... also they put a logo i requested on the leather for no charge (before i had the prob not beacuse of it..)... the logo is like those logos u put on caps at the mall.. where they like knit it on the cap with a machine..

If you were willing to buy from someone in Canada, you could try and find a set of 01+ Acura EL seats. The premium model came stock with heated leather seats which are the same size and shape as those on the 01+ Civic sedan (not sure if the coupe uses the same size rear seats).

I would agree with some of the other responses though, it would probably be cheaper for you to find a good shop in your area to re-upolster your stock seats in leather.

In Canada leather is available as an option I saw one in the showroon it was a red coupe with red honda sign stitched in..It was super nice

Its a dealer installed (aftermarket) option though. Just like in the U.S., Civics are not made with factory leather seats, the dealer instead sends the car out to an aftermarket shop to get it done when someone wants to buy one (the same way they do with tinted windows, rust-proofing, etc).

no racing seats for me, i wanted to keep my side airbags.

rsx-s seats will end up costing me $450, and that includes the shipping i paid. and they have airbags, almost bolt up the same, and all the plugs are identical. much better seats, IMO, and they clean so much better than the cloth
