Motor mounts

I nose around some other forums and see what they say about their cars and who they race and what they do to their cars, and i noticed on the cavalier forum jbody.org...that a big thing seems to be motor mount inserts i guess..or modified motor mounts??? Why is that such a big deal and is that somethin to do for our vics? motor mount upgrades i guess? I guess i live under a rock i dunno.
