Washer Fluid Light on 2005 LX-G
I'm in Canada and I have my 05 LX-G Sedan for exactly 2 days. I don't any light for the dash for Windshield Washer Fluid warning when I start up, is this normal? Shouldn't all the lights on the dash light up on ignition? The manual does say Canadian civics has the Washer Fluid warning light but does not show it's location in the diagram.
Could any Canadian owners shed some light on this subject?
Thanks.

Re: Washer Fluid Light on 2005 LX-G
i have 2003 civic. problem is low winshield fluid light came on and did not go away after refilling. This feature is only on canadian and not us models. i peeled back front driver's wheel plastic liner to expose the washer reservoir. (you do not have to take off bumper!) On the winshield reservoir tank, there are 2 cylindrical inserts; one is the washer fluid pump and the other is low fluid sensor. You could replace the fluid sensor at 90$ plus labor or do it yourself like i did. i just chose to unplug the wiring harness attached to fluid sensor and light went off on instrument panel. However, to fix this properly, empty the reservoir tank. Then pull the sensor cylinder out; it has a seal grommet around it so pull gently. Get new sensor and push in the slot with the grommet seal. Then re-attach the wiring harness and presto! you have saved your self around 50 BUCKS labor at least. I could not find anywhere on internet how to solve this so i went to honda dealership and found out through a friend who works there! hope this helps.
Another option which is better is to remove the sensor as above. dip the whole sensor in clr and clean. check to see if the float on sensor moves back and forth freely. Once cleaned, re-insert back into fluid reservoir tank gently. This options saves you 90$part and 50$ labor! This is the better option. i just chose to undo wiring harness. hope this helps!
