the front looks like a scion tc with a mist front grille. The side looks like a cougar and the back looks like a 350z or mutated g35. i think overall the styling has improved over the last gen eclipse, but i dont think it looks as good as the 99 eclipse. The new one doesn't really look like a fast light sports car to me, like the 99 eclipse did. I think the 99 was the best, something small fast, with turbo and awd, that makes someone drool. i'll wait till the car actually comes out before passing final judgement. i like the led illumiation on the instrument panels though. Overall i think the car looks promising.
You guys gotta remember, the pictures shown are of the stock vehicle. You can bet that companies are going to be going nuts with the aftermarket parts for this thing. I'll bet that with aftermarket bumpers and sideskirts, and rims, that thing would look freakin awesome.

This thing doesn't look like it would be that heavy, but then again neither does the Z which is actually pretty stout.

Well Considering the last Eclipse came in with a gross curb wegith of around 3,000 LBS... That thing is going to need 260 HP to beable to get up to speed.... What ever happened to Light weight sports cars?

dont like it. looks too much like a cougar. the front grill is ugly. the rear is ugly. the only improvement is that they gor rid of the ridges on the side.

i remember i read somewhere that the new eclipse was going to be based on the new galant platform. If this is true, they might be setting the eclipse to compete more with an accord coupe, toyota solara and maybe an rx-8, since they dont have a galant coupe. Then for example a rsx or civic si. From the specs i'm guessing the price is going to be 22k-29k depending on which models you get.
