It's a X3 competitor. Accord platform but it won't be larger than the MDX. It will handle better than the MDX.

I hope they at least use a V6 in it, like the 3.2 from the TL or the 3.0L from the Accord.

I work for Acura... and I asked our regional sales rep about the RDX. His response was that Acura is pulling another Honda S2000 / Acura TL etc. They are already in final stages and the concept car will be one step off production. He said that the concept car is pretty much a production vehicle and that the car will go on sale in the summer of 2005, rather than fall - but still as an 06 model. It will most likely have a 3.0 and he hinted at SH-AWD but wouldn't say more.

Other massive Honda/Acura news... he claimed that they are tinkering with bringing out an RSX-R for the last year of the DC5 classis. He says that his bosses have asked about it before, and that the conversation gets kicked around quite often but that no position has been taken. Also, he said that there will most likely be a new CL as an 06 or an 07, hinting it may be a convertible. His justification was that "we're still ticked off that Honda stole the Acura S2000 from us... it really should have been an Acura."

Considering most people don't use them for their intended use (ie. going off-road), and instead use them to drive their 1 kid to school and then to work, I call them useless.
