How tall are you?
How tall are you?
I stand about 6'2" or 6'3". I have my seat cranked down as low as it can go, and if I put my seat back straight up (which I don't for normal driving, it's kind of uncomfortable), I can almost make my head touch the ceiling. Actually, my hair brushes against it.
Are there any taller 7th genners out there? What is YOUR 7th gen height experience? It seems to me that the Civic will accomodate a fairly respectable range of driver heights. Any particularly short people driving 7th gens out there?
Just curious!

i'm 5'5 but my spikes from my hair touches the ceiling... that is when I know it is time to get a hair cut. they get long
I'm 6'2" or 6'3" also (depends where I get measured). The civic is fine most of the time, rarely I touch the roof but it can happen when i sit really straight
.
Prob is I was misinformed that a celica is only for short people and therefore I didn't even consider it. Then I sit in it during the NY Auto show and it's just fine. argg

The new Celicas are hot!
I love flirting with girls on the highway. Then I realize they're driving a souped up Celica or Altima with nice alloys and I'm rollin' on hubs. I'm self-conscious about my hubbies. Couldn't even afford stock alloys.
I justified it by saying that when I can afford rims, I won't want Honda stock ones anyway.
But this has nothing to do with height! I'm hijacking my own thread.

5'6 ... i gots no problems ... but I got my seat down as far as it can go ... seat tilted back a little bit... just how its comfortable for me to drive i guess ... But I agree our car would have a nice range for taller or shorter people
Sometimes I wish the pedals were farther forward. I am most comfortable with the seat forward enough so that my elbow can be on the little arm rest and my hand on the shift **** while it's in 1, 3, or 5. But when I'm that close, my knees are beside the wheel! I have to compromise.

im 5'8" - 5'9"...plenty of headroom no matter what car im in.
my problem is that i like my steering wheel all the way down so that the speedo is visible through the hole. but then the lower part of the wheel is too low and my knees hit it when i try to heel/toe. its annoying. i cant move my seat back so my knees arent that bent because i like that driving position.

Like I said in the other thread... try driving a Miata when youre 6'2"...actually not that bad, but heel toeing is a pain in the ***, & when I pull up top a stoplight, I have the option of hunching way down or looking over the windshield to see the light
I pretty much have to race with the top down when I have a helmet on...
Oh yea, the steeringwheels in NA(first gen) Miatas are not adjustable, so yea my knees are all over it.

im 5'6 have no problems with head room. i had my seat height up 3/4ths of the way, and i have my back up slightly slanted backwards, but thats how i like sitting in cars. makes it feel like i have more control, and its comfortable since i have a bad back and cant sit all slouched

^^LOL i caught that too. im 5'11'' and im fine. the whole knees baning against the steering wheel is a pain in the ***, but was no problem in the 240's or the rx7. i guess thats cause you sat more in the car than on it, practically on the floor.

I'm 5'8". I relax the back a little so I'm leaning just a bit. I wish the B-pillar were angled just a little because that gets in the way when I'm looking over sometimes.
I'm 5'4". Plenty of headroom in my sedan. Does anyone experience lower back pain with the stock seats on long car trips (2 hrs+)? Is there an ultimate seating position to cure this? Or should I look into getting new seats?

My suggestions are playing with the seat or buying a tiny little cushion for your back.
I'm 6' 1", and I don't really have a problem with seating position. I'm pretty comfortable once I tilt the seat back about 2 clicks from the upright position (and push it all the way back) - makes it kind of tight for anyone sitting right behind me, though.
I've found my low back bothers me when I drive the 4 hours to visit my family in central TX. I think a lumbar support might help. I bought one of those heated, vibrating seats from Homedics, but I haven't tried it yet - it just plugs into the power port.
