Is it a deal?
i have heard alot of people saying Mercedes-Benz cars are nothing but trouble and fixing.. especially when they get old. my dad works at a company in a rich area, this guy is trying to get rid of his C320 Amg (1998-1999) for 13g. I told my dad if he could go down to 12g ill get it right away. how does this sound to you? my dad said there arent any problem with the car.
the car is loaded with amg stuff (rims, etc) it has 60k milage on it. what else should i find out about the car before buying it? know nothing about mercedes.. need your help

do your homework on anything before you act. especially something that costs 12,000. my friend has a 1994 c320 and there is no probelms with it so far. but regardless of the fact, DO YOUR HOMEWORK!
well why is he trying to get rid of it that bad 13k for an amg is cheap i would say also to get a carfax.. and look at the car test evry little thing that it has i seriously doubt that a 1999 amg is that cheap but go ahead probably is the deal of your lifetime

read consumer reports. None of the german car companies are very good when it comes to build quality.

13k? Wow... A supercharged V6 too if I recall properly... If everything is all right, expect the cost/maintenance of a luxery car. If you're up for it, it sounds like a good deal, esp if it hasn't been abused in any way.

Do a google on "german car reliability" and you'll see that German cars are not as reliable as some would think. Plus theyre expensive as hell to repair and parts cost an arm and a leg.
Well we had a 1990 E320 that we only drove like 2K a year because my mom rarely went anywhere without my dad. It was her car, and you know what? It had alot of problems. So many that our family will never own a merc again.

do a carfax. see if the dude will let you test drive it. see if you can have it inspected by a mechanic, take it to someone who knows MB, like the dealer. they will charge you for the inspection if the seller lets you do it.
if you decide to buy it, get a receipt.
im personally not a fan of MB. i think its an old mans car. the AMG has performance, but the styling is not my taste.

we have a few bmw's and mercs and they have been workin fine i useally do the maintance on em. on the merc my dad dropped a 350 in it (i have no idea why) but its sick the stock engine had 22k on it if i remember correctly and that thing was beat to **** and it had no problems. German engineering is amazing it just depends on the cast. theres always gonna be that 4 or 5 bad cars outta 10,000. good find.
