^^^^^^^^Is it really that bad?
Would it be our faults as drivers to induce torque steer. If you abruptly accelerate on a FWD car, you will torque steer. I guess you can't drive FWD, RWD, AWD cars the same way. You have to adjust your driving style for each type of car. The Type S shouldn't handle so poorly it suppose to be the best FWD car.

back in 2002 i test drove one i really liked it but it was a test drive with the dealer guy in, so i dint really push the car that much but you really feel the difference the civic even driving at such low speeds i love the bose stereo is good enough for me and from what ive heard the 05 models have a better subwoofer

you can only torque steer on a FWD car.
and yes, I've driven an RSX-S and to me, flooring it in first, the front of the car just kinda "floats". that's really one of the only complaints i had on the car.

Not even close... sadly.
Example: Stock classed Autocross. The Celeca GTS is noticably faster then the RSX-S.. So much so that the RSX-S got dropped a class down to G-Stock. where as the Celica is still D-Stock.... not that the celica does all that well in that class any way. (D-stock is dominated by the Integra-R and BMW 330 Ci's).
my 16 year old neighbor had one like a day before she totaled it i took it for a spin...
it was fun but it ain't got nothin on the s2000 or my fathers 396 small block 69 camaro. fun importer to mess around with. but im compareing it to cars that are in all diff classes... so doesn't matter! lol

I heard from someone driving a Cavalier that they're devoid of torque steer for the same reason, can anyone back this up, as research on the matter has yielded nothing..

By the way, when I had my Mazdaspeed Protege torque steer was so vicious that at times, I thought I would hop into the other lane....and the car came with an LSD. Any FWD car with enough torque will torque steer no matter what. Ever watched a RWD car launch real hard, and how the rear end fish tails? Same principle, except on a FWD car, torque steer will occur and throw you into the other lane.
I switch from RWD to FWD all the time, and yes it's true you have to adjust your driving habits when switching...

Yeah on a RWD I've felt that I was in BMW, I launhced it hard and it was sideways for a bit and then it Straghtened out.
I heard there discontinuing the Celica i hope its not true. I'd love one of those bad boys.
What does LSD do on FWD cars? Is it hard to adjust your driving with it? I heard its take time getting use to it.
