kinda explains why Honda's are also non performance. The founder wanted to be a racer but ended up crashing. anyways, he designed motocyles and change the motorcyle world as we know it. Also, Honda has the record of most motorcyles sold with over 30 million Cubs and Supercubs sold.
feel free to add some honda history

Rep Power: 242 Honda also made a car with rear wheel steering. it wasn't full control rear wheel but it was still there. I think it was an accord or something. There's a girl in my area that has one.

Rep Power: 323 Honda was the first Japanese company to bring in a luxery company under a new name to compete against the German marques that already had a foothold in Amerian territory.
Honda has kept its secret of refreshing and redesigning cars towards what the market wants and has been doing it so long that they have the second best selling midsized car and the best selling compact car in America.
Honda's racing technology has made its way into street cars. Fuel economy, reliability, and high-revving naturally aspirated engines are just some of the things common in most Honda cars.

The reason why you're not getting the performance that you would like right out of the box is because you're not spending enough money. In case you didnt notice, hondas are NOT the cheapest cars around pricewise.

Rep Power: 0 The first Honda Company was building very reliable engine parts for Toyota. Toyota bought the company (cause they can build reliable **** on their own) and then Honda got into motorcycles and automobiles.
I will trust honda engineering over any other auto maker especially Toyota
Also, anyone in Honda's management structure has an Enginering degree, most in other automobile companies like Toyota are MBA's (Masters of Business Adminstration)

if you think about it honda realizes that having enviroment friendly cars is more important than hp numbers i would feel proud if i owned an insight or a civid hybrid, at least i know im putting in my grain of sand you know.
when im older and i have a family i'll get me a hybrid

Rep Power: 242 I wouldn't mind having a hybrid myself. Only because the new v-6 accord hybrid actually has more horsepower and torque than the standard v-6. 155hp/??lb/ft VS 140hp/??lb/ft

then Honda shouldn't be making jet-drives for marine application. They also shouldn't be desiging a new jet aircraft. They shouldn't be sticking turbochargers on jet skis. They shouldn't be in F1 cart racing. They shouldn't be making high-revving motors.
Oh wait, they're doing all that already.
who needs 165 horsepower on a jet-ski anyways right?

1994 models saw mostly cosmetic and a few interior changes. Exterior modifications were as such: the intake vents near the headlights were modified, as well as bumper lights, wheel styles were changed and the rear spoiler got an LED brake light. The VTEC models received standard leather seating, and the Si and VTEC models got an electroluminescent gauge cluster. It was also the last year 4WS was offered in the North American market, though it continued to be offered up until the last generation of Preludes in the Japanese and European markets.

Rep Power: 0 Yeah my little brother's wife has this dinky honda civic, it's all stock about 5 feet long, has I think a 600 CC Motorcycle engine in it, and the stick shift is mounted to the ashtray. It's funny my little Bro and I had to move that thing once he picked up the front I picked up the back, and we carried it about 10 feet to get it out of the way.
