^ hehe, gotta love it when ppl dont look at pics. check out the floor in the rear, theres a hump in the middle. most likely for the axle going back to the rear wheels. so in other words, if u want to do that swap, ud have to redo the entire bottom/underside of your car.

. You buy a different one and spend more money trying to make it into the one you wanted Hmm...what is up with this Real time AWD stuff...I keep hearing about it on the Honda CRV ads..
By adapting to terrain what do you mean exactly? Is this not the same as regular AWD or something?

the car has REAL TIME 4WD. this is different from full time 4WD like a crv has, or AWD like a wrx has.
basically, the front tires drive all the time. the ONLY time the rear tires provide any power is when the front tires completely lose traction. so no, not even when launching would you really get any 4wd/awd benefit.
so....
4wd means each wheel always gets about 25% of the power.
awd means usually one axle or the other is normally the drive axle, and a traction/slip differential system and ecu control where traction goes when the drive axle starts to slip. awd is good for traction and control on pavement. but when it comes to off-road or overall traction on slippery surfaces, 4wd is actually better than awd. however, awd technology is rapidly closing that gap.
and real time 4wd or real time awd, is actually just a FWD car that when the front wheels completely lose traction, the rear wheels kick in to try to keep the car going.

I wish they had AWD Civc's here.... Anyway, those I believe are higher end models, which would probably sit in price near where the top of the line Civic coupe's lie.
They also have those rear arm rests found on Accords and and Lancers... they even offer them in the Philippines. I got stuck with a crappy one that's on the floor with rear passengers whining about how many cup holders I should have...

Why is it exaclty in America we get all the shafted versions of the Civics......For the amount we pay for some of these cars, I'd like to be able to say that I spent +$23,000 and got the car of my dreams...but instead I got 115 HP that could be 200 HP with quite a bit of mods....
*sigh*
For the amount I spent for my car and how much I'd have to pay to get it modded to a good amount of power, I could've gotten a BMW or a WRX
C'mon Honda...We like high end stuff too...
