CV joint......need a new one!

Hey everyone, ok my cv joint went out and i need to get a new one, the dealership says its gonna be like 330...**** that, anyone know where i can pick one up off the net for cheaper, and would it be ok if i got one from a junkyard or is that not a good idea? Thanks.

you can probably get a whole axle at discount auto parts for 70 bucks

my friend and i did my girlfriend's del sol's axles, 140 dollars for both (another 140 for core charge) and i am doing my half shaft in a few weeks, 70 bucks also

I got 2 CV boots available for an integra, still brand new. I don't know if the suspension on the integra and the 7th gen civics are the same. You're better off replacing the whole axle or something.

Their different, plus i herd its useless to replace the boot cuz by then the dirt and crap is already inside so its best to get a rebuilt one

not sure about the civic but in an accord 91. its actually better to replace the whole axle than the boot. that way, inner and outter cv boot are new.
