yeah i see most ebay engines go for about 5k with everything except for the mounts. installation i dont know how much that is. if its anywhere near close to 10k then i think i'd rather just trade in my vic for a type S.

might as well buy this one, keep the parts you need.. put the d17 back on the civic and sell it. maybe it'll be cheaper if you do that

i would trade mine in too but i have done so many custom mods and its already been in an accident freakin honda would give me squat if i traded it in. They look for excuses to give you less money on the cars you give them

I would never buy another modified car. I would never buy a car someone created especially if it was modified to be FAST. I know if i had a fast car and i spend 10000 on a car that isnt naturally fast to make it fast, im gonna beat on it HARD. God knows how conditions the rest of the car is in much less the engine. how do you know the person who did the work did it well and its not gonna give you problems later down the road? Ive seen situations like that man because of some of my friends and their purchase of a 1992 rx7 heavily modded. The guy claimed the rotors were completely rebuilt and so were the seals and he had reciepts. But the guy who did the work obviously ****ed and the rest of the car had electrical problems and ignition problems. Even one of the turbos had oil problems. WASTE OF MONEY. In short i would be super careful to buy a modded car unless i knew the person well or someone i knew well knew him/her well and could vouche for them

yeah i'm planning to keep my car through college and keeping it when i work. My dream is to buy a bimmer when i'm making at least 50-60k and keep the civic as more of a modding/ project car. Right now i'm going for looks and suspension then my last thing would be a swap.
^^^^ about the swap thing. i think i prefer to get the swap, because personally, i think the civic has a way better look than the rsx type s. just put some money into your interior and make it look nice, like changing your seats or something.

i agree, i like the looks of the civic coupe better then the rsx. There basically the same car, just different shells. I already installed rsx seats in my civic. It drastically elevates the interior and the seats are so worth the cash. My lower back doesnt hurt anymore since i replaced the seats. I'm debating on replacin my cloth inserts with either carbon fiber or leather.
