eh, not really i think its a program in the ecu, not something u can just take off lol. but my friends uncle (who is also technically a friend of mine) says he can take the governor off, i just gotta get around to going to his house cause he has some computer there that he'll plug into my ecu and pull some stuff off lol. as u can tell i dont know much about car electronics, ill stay under the hood where i belong.
At least for the mistubishi, it's just 2 resistors that you need to cut to take the limiter off. A lot of the JDM cars are limited to 180 KMH which is 112 mph. but yeah the EXs just run out of power against air resistance.

All the fun is in torque and acceleration to me. I don't really care whether my car gets up to 112 or 130. How many ppl really get that fast that often anyways...

Try the product out, and tell us if it works.. And yes, auto's are governed to keep the tranny from running too hot.

in my old '99 ford ZX2 there was just a white wire with a black stripe under the cupholders that you could cut and put a switch on to enable/disable the speed govorner, that was so easy to do. i don't know what the civic's situation is or if it even has a govorner.
