So I'm interested in a 2004 Civic Si.

I went to the dealer and I can get a 2004 for 18120 out the door (6% tax, 160 dealer fee?). I have no idea if this is the best deal I can get. I hate car salesman. Anything you care to let me know about the car?

civic si is a fun car to drive, no doubt about it. i love the shifter. handles great. 18,120 out the door is pretty good for a new si (for california standards, i don't know about elsewhere). if you don't like the salesman, i think you should ask to talk directly to the sales manager, they're ususally nicer and good at dealing with people. the salesmen are trying to compete with eachother too much and get the comission.
on a side note: what color is it?

Good Luck!
if your in cali, ill be glad to take that integra off you. i need a project car
18g is about a fair/good price for a brand new si 2004. but what their offering you for your integra 94 is bs. post it on listings and im pretty sure you can get more than just 1g. as soon they buy ur integ for 1 g, their gonna tune it up and sell it for 3g then some idiot is gonna buy it.

listen to honda sales. he is right. that SI can be bargained down to 16500. that dealership is pulling a fast one on you.
Another thing, unless your a fanboy of the SI, look into other cars around that price range. Sport compact car did a roundup of the "tuner" cars under twenty thousand bucks and the SI came in at eighth which was last.

edit: even the scion tc manual has a faster 1/4 time than an SI.

Ask them what they're putting on there to make it worth 18k... Shop around for other vehicles because there are a couple of other good things in the market too. Like mentioned, its not exactly the best in its class. Complain about it and everything the next time you're talking about the price. Test drive some other cars too because there really are some better options out there. I'd try to bring it down... 17 would be reasonable, but like mentioned, it can go a lot lower.
I was at the acura dealership today checkin out the new RL, but i was also checkin out an 01 3.2cl type s for 22k they wanted me to trade-in my car for 10k and i could have drove off in that but i really need to think if i want to pay $185 more in payments and 90 more for insurance, btw my insurance now is 255 a month and car payments are 182. 2x the money for 3x the car damn im getting that **** nevermind

I say you can do better.
I say you can do better.
Whoever left me feedback calling me what you did....
All I said was that seemed like a fair price and did I not mention to do some homework also? Sheesh... Some people's kids! You can really see the age groups who lurk in these forums.

Now... JUST MY OPINION. Can't you stick to your civic for now and wait just a little less than one year, by november 2005 the 2006 S.i. will be available, and rumors are that its going to be a Coupe. Other rumors are that it will have 200+ horsepower.
Now, you are having a great price there for a brand new S.i. and no doubt the 8th gen S.i. WILL BE more expensive and a better price than that will not be offered, but if you can save some money, perhaps you could get a nice offer too.
But no doubt that's a great offer.
Good Luck!!
