Looks kinda the same to me. The rear looks kinda different, and the tail lights look like Camaro lights...

all u guys that are dissing on the new viper, have u ever seen one in person? I saw one...a white one at my mall and OMG my heart stopped! Pictures don't do the viper justice...the rear tire itself is the same or bigger than 3 stock tires placed sidebyside on civics! and the NSX? it's a badass car, but it's also a 90K car and it's nothing compared to the viper in performance...turns maybe but muscle wise...ehhh

looks good, but i'd still take a 1996 GTS over that one, i like the look of the old viper better. used '96 GTS ~ $45,000... awesome car for the money.

corvette might be a nice car but you're underestimate the viper man. I mean, I would take a viper over any corvette out there. Sorry man, but just cause you have one, doesn't make it king of the road.

Yeah its probabaly not fair to point to the Type R we don't get it here.

Anyhow I saw a Viper RT and I was amazed. The tires were so wide and itlooked like it was molded around someones body it looked so tight but in a good way. I can imagine an SRT 10 is even sicker!

well you look up the stats overall the corvettes are better performers..
If you go into racing the c5's own the vipers on every division...
viper=straight line performance oriented machine.
Corvette=all around performance.
I like to note the viper doesnt go 186mph.
I have a friend who has the old school GTS in yellow with bumble bee stripes and I find the original chasis far better in looks than the new ones.

recheck your stats in motortrend and you will be suprized how close a c6 is to a viper in the 1/8 and quarter.

ROCKET JOCKEY has a little shameless behaviour in the past
A Supra and a M3 you say ? There not even in the same class as a Viper or a Vette . The Japanese should stick to making reliable cars, for the NSX lacks peformance for the Price they want ! The Germans cant match that peformance on those two cars for less than $150,000 dollars .

The fascination with everything foreighn so it must be better is such a weird concept . Why cant people just have pride in where we come from and what we build ?

I think you're reaching a little too deep on that one. I'd be proud of American cars if they could make one that wasn't a giant SUV or a P.O.S. Econobox like the Cavalier. If you are unwilling to spend big bucks, you get a terrible variety of ugly crappy cars. Notice that the latest trend for American cars is RETRO? American muscle cars were the only time we put out good stuff. Now car designers can't keep up with the foreign markets and are scrambling to find something that works in the mid priced, car scene. They only know one thing that works for them so they've gone back in time to re-capitalize on it. Proud.............proud of what? I'll take my Honda anyday.

Asking that question on a honda site... not a good idea. (though I agree with you)

Ah well, it still takes American diesel power to get the imports to the dealerships
