I'm a little confused.
Me, not knowing much about my civic yet, thought that the d17 din't have vtec, but i was talking to some kid and he said that the ex did. I don't think its true but i don't know everything about my car yet.

2nd but my old car was 17.8 in the 1/4 but for me it pulls over 4 not horrible hard but enough for me to have some fun and to lose traction in the rain.

^^^^ He's right, your the D17 in EX have VTEC, LX and DX are D17 but those doesn't have VTEC.

ummm lx can have vtec if you really want it too. search around, there is a head swap somewhere.
