the other week ago i traveled 400 miles on a full tank and full car(4 people) speeding through traffic. i couldn't believe it lasted me that long...
my dad used to get 420 highway miles out of my car when he had to drive it for like a month i felt proud of my civic for some reason i've never reached that point the most ive gone is 360 and when i run out of gas it ussually runs out like at 370 or so
i drive on freeways mostly, i get 39~40. The worst i got was 36???
and i don't drive like a granny, i drive almost 80 all the way...
i think it's because my car's in a good condition.
2001 LX manual transmission with almost 70k miles.

I wish I had gas mileage like that. I only get about 23-27 mpg, because I have a turbo and 550cc injectors (and I like to boost it a lot). What makes it worse I have to put one gallon of Xylene in for every 9-10 gallons of 91 octane gas, to raise my octane to about 108, otherwise I get some detonation at the top end.
I think they say the best speeds for good gas mileage are between 35mph-45mph. which is what I usually drive at. The highest mileage I ever recorded was 43mpg, the most miles on one tank I got was 460mi, well the gas light came on at 460 so I could have broken 500mi. and I drive an '02 ex cpe
i think a lot of you are fibbing on your gas mileage. The 32 -38 is the standard set by honda under almost perfect conditions from what i understand, which means driving any other way would result in worse gas mileage. These numbers just seem a little exaggerated to me. Whats the point in bragging about your gas mileage anyway?
