what is the diff from the hx and ex v-tec head
and do they work the some, i am tring to v-tec and lx

just buy a ex engine.

So HX en EX are SOHC VTEC?
Here we have 1.7 ES 125hp SOHC Vtec and 1.7 LS 120 HP non VTEC

It says the HX Vtec is 117 hp and 111 torque. It has the same compression as the EX. 2 HP 1 feet pounds of torque more than non-vtec civics . Its got much better fuel economy than all the other vics.
