Hmm, I dont think I like it.
That show is something else too.. Although I do admit the purple civic they did for the one girl in the first season was pretty cool although I think it was all exterior and nothing under the hood.

Rep Power: 0 I remember that car on the show. I think I've seen it on the freeway a couple times. Looks pretty nice, and the girl wasn't bad either. Building a custom car like this is bound to have problems as she posted. The paint on the external hinges for the suicide doors crack because they probably painted the hinges after installation. A screen on a door is bound to crack with the repetitive jolts it gets from the door slamming.

They fixed these cars up and then gave them away to people who don't really care. Guess what, they did not care before. They drove piece of crap vehicles that barely ran. Then they got some style (subjective) and the first thing they think off is when can I sell it.
18000 for a bug is insane. If it were a pristine restored classic bug with some significance, it may be worth it. But it is worth maybe 4-5000 at best.

Rep Power: 310 i don't think MTV is wasting money because WCC more than likely get all their products at wholesale prices. so when they say they spent $30,000 in products they probably only spent $15,000, IF that. car electronics are hella cheap at wholesale, they just screw the consumer, and mentioning what brand they're using gets them good deals or free products. do you think Xzibit paid for that scion? i don't.
WCC probably does almost all of the work for free, thats the best way to get free advertising. WCC and MTV are probably both making bank, and they can probably care less if the owners sale the cars, though it might hurt Xzibits feelings. lol

But yeah, these people are ungreatful for what they have. Though, some of the rides would attract so much unwanted attention, you'd HAVE to sell them.
I like Overhaulin much better. Chip Foose has style. At least I think so..
