dealer...intake
dealer...intake
hey guys im planning on going to the dealer sometime this week....the one in Glendale, CA....Colonial Honda.....I'm going to take the car in for the clutch because aside from the squeaky noise, now after its outside overnight in the morning it makes like a click click sound until I drive it for like 2-3 miles and then that goes away too, some of you guys said its the spring...anyhow it's annoying and a 6 month old car should not do that...I just need some opinions does anyone think I should take off my intake and put the stock box in? Or should I just take it in and leave the intake in? does anyone have expierence with this dealer?

id say take it out, especially since its so easy to... dealers always like to hassle people with aftermarket stuff so just be safe and prevent any headaches

nah it doesnt but it could save arguing, because at least a while back people were complaining about dealers refusing work over anything from aftermarket cd players to rims
unless there is a problem with the car that can be attributed directly to the aftermarket item (i.e. blown head because of turbo)

ok, I am locking this because there is a thread about the warrently law on the site. Basically, they should not refuse your warrenty if the aftermarket part DID NOT cause the problem. If you can't find a dealer that is willing to abide by that, then complain to honda. An intake should not void your clutch warrenty. If you want to find a good dealer, ask the people in your local forum.
No, you should not have to take off your intake, but if your dealer is a jackass, then go ahead.
