the accord is also fwd, and has a dogish tranny
altho the s2000 does have to rev quite high to get some power, the 04 s2000 has a 2.2L which gets a little more torque
teh rev limiter also has been reduced to 8500 or so

The S2000 has a zillion times better suspension, and actually it's only a tad lighter than the Accord by a few hundred lbs (as the S2k is not that light). Still, it is rear wheel drive and instead of getting a family coupe for up to 5, you get a track-ready stock convertable that's far more capable of enjoyment riding solo or with a friend. The "soul of a sports car" powered by Honda is within the S2000.
That's my contrast.

The real question now is:
How different would the cars be if...
The S2000 had the 3.0L V6 AND Accord had the 2.2L I4.
Assume the S2000 stays RWD and the Accord stays FWD.
Would the cars performance stay the same or would they benefit from the change in engines?

The S2000 makes the most n/a power per liter than any other engine out there and its still...thats what's so awesome about it, not to mention the s2k looks a lot better than the new accords, and if you've ever rode in a s2k and an accord...i think you'd make your desicion real soon on which ones better
I test drove both when I purchased my S2000. Dont get me wrong, the Accord is a very nice car, but here is why I picked the S2000. RWD, 9K RPM redline, convertible, sportier appearance. The Accord has more interior features and more room for those practical people, but I wanted more of a "sports car."
