shhhhaddyy *** foos man .. **** em all.. thats why i dont handle stuff like that thru shipping co's and its mostly the shippers fault. lots padding should have been involved in the packaging.

yeah I got the hood insured for up to 700 and paid extra 12 bucks for it, now the thing is it was a poor packaging, that could've prevented the damage if there was enough bubble wraps and extra cushions, there wasn't even a padding between the hood and the box
I don't know how FEDEX gonna handle this ****, coz they might use the poor packing as their excuse even the damage didn't occured if they don't drop the damn thing!!! so it's a fault between the two
sigh*** this is so frustrating... Registered!!

I ship a lot of items and when you talk about stuff fragile like that I ALWAYS pay more and let UPS package my item. This way if there is any damage they will reimburse you right away. If you package it, good luck seeing a dime.

this really sucks... coz it was a poor packing job... just the cardboard and that's it... no cushion what so ever....
man the hood was 2 months old and I only got it for 350

if it was improperly packaged, then they will not cover it no matter how much insurance you put on it...
contact the seller and ask for a refund since he fawked it, not FedEx...

he's a good guy, we are currently PM'ing each other on how to get this solved, he didn't thought that they will *** it up... the thing is that when it came and the box lookin like the way he packed it, I was like HELLL NAWWWW! that thing is fuked, so I wasn't even excited to see, coz I already know, coz I've seen others who got theirs fuked to by a shipping co.
I just can't stand lookin at it... it's just way to beautiful to get damaged just like that

aw those are the worst things to ship
most everyone that gets one shipped is always damaged somewhere
I got mine at a shop but it has like 3 small imperfections in the weave...wish it didn't
but no one ever notices unless they inspect it up close or know what they are looking for

man I will take this one all the way to small claims court if I have to... man this is bullsh!t for real huh? coz even if you put fragile on the damn thing they won't give a ***... lazy bastards can't be trusted with our stuff...
yup, everyone is right. I am a shipping manager at my job.Did you sign and release the package from the driver or was it left at your door? If you signed for it, inspection should have been done first and let the driver know of any damages first, they can key it into there keypads as received damaged. FedEx,UPS or DHL (they all do it) will go to your house and ask to see the packaging material and box that was used. If they deem it unsuitable for the item (due to size, weight and girth of the package), your claim will be denied even though you paid for the extra shipping. You MIGHT get your 12.00 back. Also, you insured a purchase of $350.00 for $700.00, thats actually constitutes fraud. Granted replacement value might be 700.00 BUT you would have to show receipts for that amount and when and where you purchased it, and you would have to be the one who purchased it for 700.00 (1st party purchase). They COULD file fraud charges, but not usually when they are only dealing with low value purchases. If it was insured for 50K then you would be in trouble. Private sales, you are basically screwed over on unless it was done thru Ebay (or such) and you can show the price you paid and then you will only be reembursed the amount you paid and any shipping charges. I have had UPS destroy a lexan bug shield and they refuse to pay because it was classified under glass and UPS doesnt insure ceramics, glass or any fragile items as such. LEXAN IS BULLET PROOF, i dont consider that fragile, and im out 43.00. RULE#1 dont ship anything big, dentable or fragile thru UPS FedEx or DHL, rule #2 see rule #1

I worked for OOOOps! um, I mean UPS and I have seen it all and I have also done it all. If you don't pack it really good, you will end up with a package looking like its been run over for a few days. Man, I feel sorry for you and your hood. I would be pissed at the dude you bought it from. Where was his common sense? He was sending you a CF hood not a block of cement! Treat the thing like it's a glass rose and pack it good. But it seems like he didn't care too much for you. Too bad dude.

NO I DIDN'T SIGN ANYTHING when i got there it's right there in my doorstep so I was like watafak! it's insured they could've atleast made sure that someone or somebody's there to verify....
I'm not askin for extra, I just want the hood, now they can buy a new one for me from VIS if they think that I'm tryin to make some money outta them... but yeah I thought of the 2 party purchase... so I don't know if they deny it or reimburse me for what I paid for then that would be fine too... I'm just so frustrated that I got the hood for only 350 and it's all fuked up... now everybody knows that I can't get that hood for that price for a like new hood ever again,
