Truck/ SUV question
Ok so my mom has been shopping around looking for at trucks and SUV's and she is letting me help in the decision since I will be driving it alot of the time, she will be taking my Civic to work since it is a longer drive then my school so it would save gas. Well anyways I was just wondering what y'all would buy. She want's something pretty nice, leather and stuff and it has to be able to pull at least 7,000 pounds since it will be used to pull a horse trailer. So what is the best as far as luxury and reliability? She is looking at spending around 40,000.
nissan titan LE fully loaded with navigation system best truck out there .....nissan really pulled it off with this truck...i think it should of gotten motor trend truck of the year.....maybe next year

2005 F-250 SuperDuty Lariat with the 6.0L PowerStroke Diesel
Why? It's reliable, its comfortable and even better riding than before, interior is great on the Lariats, gets very good fuel mileage, and Not to mention, IT'S A DIESEL.
If you are towing a horse trailer, get a frickin real truck to do it with... 3/4 or 1 ton only. Sure, a Titan is rated to tow 9000lbs, but would I want to do it all the time with it? Hell no.

why get a luxury truck with leather and the works if you are going to always be at the horse stables and getting the insides dirty, messy, and smelly? You are not going to want some luxury truck that is going to always been dirty on the outside from always pulling all that equipment. And most likely the inside will get filthy too.
I say stick with something like a chevy HD, ford F-150-350, or a dodge.
And yes, like turbo diesel said, get a real truck, not some high end luxury truck thats going to end up looking like **** after a few months of doing all this.

My 2001 F-350 SuperDuty is my commuter vehicle and workhorse vehicle. I wouldn't have it any other way.

I don't like the Fords. The GM's aren't bad and the RAM's are awsome but have half assed interiors, they can also pull a house down. lol
Toyota would get my vote.

FOR THE LOVE OF GOD DON'T ADD ANOTHER SUV TO THE ROADS!!!!!
But at used you'd be using it for what it was built for. Nothing worse than having my civic pushed off the road cause soccer mom doesn't want to get her tires dirty.
God I hate SUVs

Here's good ones to consider...
Trucks-
Nissan Titan (towing capacity out the ***)
Toyota Tundra (love these things)
SUV's- (depends what you want)
My mom has an X5 4.4, but you cant get that for $40, but I love that thing, its amazing.
What about an Explorer? New ones are very nice, great V8, very reliable. (I am about to buy an Explorer Sport, used to have a V8 Eddie Bauer too, Sister drives an 02 Explorer also, LOL)
Hmm most import SUV's wont have enough towing capacity for horse trailer- Look at a Tahoe? Nice but they should be coming out with a new one soon, those are pretty outdated now.
I dunno, any help?

the sport trucks dont have the towing capacity that the dude wants......... i know the titan is a nice truck the that exterior looks cheesy, i would read some of the car and driver reviews of the truck battles and the SUV battles and make up you mind from that
