1993 Ford Probe GT
Just sold my heavily modified 1993 Ford Probe GT sleeper.
I am always sad to see a car go. But since I get 3' x 2' shots of each of my rides I will always have a place for her on my wall.
Named "Miracle" after the car got me home in a bad storm on five failing cylinders, I will keep my mod list secret because the new owner intends to use it as a drag car. I will just say that it did break the 10 second barrier on more than on occasion.
I originally bought the car with a blown tranny and terrible clutch with 150k miles for $900. I was disappointed that only a 2.5L V6 was available but I rebuilt the block and replaced the tranny and clutch in the hopes it would be a daily driver. A turbo became available to me for dirt cheap and that's where the mods began...
In a short while the Acclaim will be going...it really is a piece of crap so I won't be so sad to see it go, but it was one hell of an effective sleeper.
In place of the Probe I have lined up a 2002 Pontiac Firebird Trans AM 6-speed with the 335 HP 5.7L V-8. Finally, a RWD car.
I definetely intend to try to get this one down into the 10's...a big overbore with cast iron wet sleeves and a supercharger should get me well on my way...

Looked sweet with wings west body kit and spoiler. Had a lot of bolt-ons probably ran low 13's but I never took it to the track. With the double od tranny dont be afraid to go to a 3.73 rear gear. In sixth at 85 it was lugging. You probably could even go with 4.11 but man those cars are so much fun to drive, even stock. Before the body kit I had it to somewhere around 155 in fifth, when I put it in sixth it was to tall of a gear and slowed down. after the bodykit I could only hit about 145, too much drag.
