Rep Power: 0 2005 Civic is Out!
Don't know if anyone has noticed but the 2005 Civic info and pics have been posted on the Honda Website (hondacars.com). Nada has changed but, it's nice to see it say "2005 Coupe" up there.
Can't wait 'till 06.......

I already bought mine and was inquiring about Honda Performance Parts.
bottom line is the HFP package is about $4,000 and Honda hasnt even
established an install price for the package. So unless you purchase the
car with the package, you pay 4 grand for the HFP package and then are
chargeed per item for install labor which comes to another $1,000.
then throw in taxes and your lookin at about 6 grand total.
of course if you buy it already with HFP package already slapped together,
then its about $4,500 tacked on to normal price of the car.
HFP package consists of:
re-engineered Suspension (Springs that lower ride height 1"
refined Chassis coupled with performance Springs and Dampers)
16" Alloy wheels for the Civic (17" for Accord)
Stylish Metallic Shift ****
Mild Honda Aero kit*( front/back bumper, skirts and spolier)
*as well as distinctive HFP interior and exterior badge eblems
Definitely not worth it, IMO

Rep Power: 488 woot still a 7thgen. one more year of the 7thgen still being relatively new
something had to have changed with the 05 though. every year something changes, whether it be a small detail like the cup holders in the 02 civic, or the arm rest center console in the 03, or the headlights/tails on the 04.

Rep Power: 788 Basically everything stays the same. They're just offering different packages.
2005 Honda Civic Line Up
- 08/25/04
There will not be any major changes for 2005 so you will have to wait for the all new Civic in 06. Honda will however be offering a Special Edition Coupe and Sedan for 2005. Features of the SE are to include a 6 Disc CD Changer w/MP3 Aux Jack & 6 speakers, Unique 15" Alloy Wheels, Rear Spoiler, and Leather Wrapped Steering Wheel. New colors will be Rallye Red for the VP Sedan and Tango Red Pearl for the Special Edition Sedan. Galapagos Green will be discontinued.
As far as the Si is concerned, Honda is planning on keeping the current version through MY05. For the next generation 2006 model, plans are to switch to a 2 door Coupe and address the issues of horsepower and styling. Honda is stating that the next generation Civic will "solidify Honda's Performance Leadership". We can't wait.
2005 Release Dates/Model Matrix
Civic Coupe & Sedan - 8/25
Civic Hybrid - 8/31

Rep Power: 488 whats the "Passenger-Side Walk-In Feature w/ memory" standard on the LX and EX?
i think the "Driver's Seat with Manual Height Adjustment" is new too. we cant adjust seat height.
"Illuminated Ignition Switch" - standard on the EX only. WTF is that? push button start or something?

i have the drivers seat with manual height adjustment on my 04 (and i had it on my 03)
illuminated ignition switch is a green lighted ring around the ignition switch. i guess so you can see where youre sticking you key at when its dark.
btw...i heard the only thing changed for the civic coupe is the addition of a passenger side locking mechanism. it used to be that only the driver could unlock and lock the doors with that switch. and now they have one for the passenger. is that true?

Rep Power: 0 oh, and the walk in memory thing automatically puts the passengers seat into the original position (on the coupe). like, when you let someone in the back, you have to move the seat up, the memory thing locks it back into place (how far you were sittin back and how much you had the seat tilted) when you move the seat back
i hope you can understand it...im not too good at explaining things online. oh, someone please correct me if im wrong.

Rep Power: 0 i love my new '04 ... i'll be breaking 300 miles tomorrow ... hopefully i wont be lettin people in the back often enough to make the passenger seat lock worth the wait (and the extra cash for the '05 O.o ) ... i doubt it's that spectacular... but it'd be good for people with long legs in the back =\
