The only difference (mechanical wise) is the suspension has been revamped...I personally like the 01-04's styling better...I mean, your not going to notice the supposedly 10 hp increase, because it is so high in the powerband...They could have done better..

i think they went too far to blend in with the "import" scene or something =\
-taillights seem to have that 'euro' look
-headlights look halo style (aftermarket look)
-not sure if its a lip kit or the bumpers, but the under body spoilers went too far trying to make it look like a kit.
-m3 style spoiler?

should've sticked with the 02-04 rsx' and spend more time on other cars. looks like their trying to make it look more luxiours or something?

i like the 02 exterior look way better the black housing looks cool on the 05 but i like the two half circle things on the 02 so iwould choose the 02-04 better imo

I like everything about the car but the new headlights/ tails, they look more "generic" now. Honda made a big mistake by losing the dropped ones IMO...else the bumpers are alot more aggressive looking, the 17's are nice, the extra 10 horses are nice...though you can get those easy aftermarket, they improved the leather quality, the new white face gauges are okay...it's not a bad car, just not such an improvment i'd trade mine in for. But if i were looking at new RSX's it's not bad at all.

I like the 05's alot more! I love the new rear and front, think losing the ditches in the front looks better IMHO.

Wish I could afford any year RSX-S tho...

No way would I trade in my 04 for an 05. Everyone says the new 2005 looks like a Civic... To me it looks more like one of those Grand Prix cars...

I love the new vivid blue and orange colors...

Overall, I'd trade in my Civic for it in a heartbeat....gotta get the monies, though.

suspension has been lowered and the valving on the shocks have been revised. Better braking power, they lowered the steering ratio, bigger sway bars, way better final drive (acceleration wise). Shall i go on?

I'm not making an argument, but most those things you listed was related to suspension...I'm sure you wouldn't be able to "feel" the difference between the braking and the final drive from the previous model either...Or it wouldn't be some drastic change to make you want it anymore than the previous...I don't know, I just like the 01 to 04's better..Maybe once some aftermarket kits and parts start popping up, I might change my mind.

The best thing I can think of performance wise would not be the 10 hp but the ability to rev higher than prev years. This will allow you to land the next gear right smack in that powerband, every gear. this will improve the acceleration a good amount.
